My expansion view is tainted by Louisville & Syracuse

Yep, it's a bit ironic to have a VT guy turn his nose up at ACC expansion, but I just can't help it. I was OK with Pittsburgh, but Syracuse and later Louisville were, and still are, complete turn-offs for me regarding the make up of the ACC. Sure, Syracuse has great name recognition and brought hoops and lacrosse cred in spades. But for football, both of them are just complete zeros on the excitement scale. With the current divisions and cross-division rules, it also means VT plays Clemson, FSU and NC State once every few decades or thereabouts because those guys water down the rotation. It sucks. So as much as I want Notre Dame to be a full member, I wouldn't be overly excited if it were to happen simply because Syracuse and Louisville would still be around. If I could wave a magic wand I'd dump those two and get ND and WVU to make a rock-solid 14 team league.
